A Needles, Syringes or Glass problem has been found

Reported via desktop in the Needles, Syringes or Glass category anonymously at 12:50, Tuesday 24 June 2025

Sent to Cheshire East Council less than a minute later. Council ref: 7755664.

I have received a message via Sarah Russell regarding strewn glass in Chancery Lane, following the rubbish cart collecting household waste.

The crushed piles of glass remain after two weeks.

I have attempted to report it via the link supplied but it does not accept my report.

There are three areas, outside no's 29, 33 and 33A, of crushed glass, which have been there three weeks. We have cleaned up two piles outside 21 Chancery Lane twice.

It appears that the rubbish truck is leaking, as the piles are separated by 10 metres or so and not cleared up by the collectors.

This detritus is dangerous to anyone falling over, (possibly due to broken and unrepaired paving stones), cyclists getting punctures, or swerving to avoid it getting in the way of vehicles and motor vehicles getting punctures.

On another matter, the number of holes, broken repairs, unsealed repairs, holes in speed humps are a disgrace and extremely dangerous, as vehicles cannot drive down Chancery Lane without swerving to avoid the holes. The Council description, I.e. measurements of pot holes is ludicrously overstated. Just along Chancery Lane the number easily counts in double figures.

The 'repairs' and I use the term loosely are totally inappropriate, unsealed, not flat, not meeting existing road surface.

The contractor is woefully inadequate and incompetent and needs to be dismissed and sued for breach of contract.

Your response is eagerly awaited, but of course any action this year, would be appreciated.

The increase in council tax seems to be swallowed up by spurious and totally inappropriate spending.
