Bridge Cottage, Bradwall ROad, CW11 1RG

Reported via desktop in the Flooding category anonymously at 11:52, Tuesday 24 June 2025

Sent to Cheshire East Council 1 minute later. Council ref: 7755159.

I have reported this matter on a number of occassions, latest ref no: 7297577, however, i have noticed online your response is word for word identical to other reported matters in the area, that a jetting job has been ordered on priority basis. I have been reporting this for 5 years. During periods of rain, the drain outside my house overflows & water heavily runs down the driveway through the garden and into my house, Highways visited the drain a 1-2 months back& agreed the drain is probably collapsed. When the road breaks down this could cause risk to life if someone falls into the collapsed road or drives into it. the flooding on the verge, into my garden and ultimately to my house, is increasing, its not drying, even when we have had dry weather. This is becoming unbearable. highways admitted this is a problem to my property and admitted its unlikely you will do anything about it. A few weeks back signs went up outside my house saying road closed 24th June for one day. i have taken today off and have been checking the road - no one turned up except CE council to remove the sign - WHAT A WASTE OF TAX PAYERS MONEY. if you spent the time putting useless signs up, then taking them down, when nothing was done, you could have spent the time actually doing something. Instead of paying wages to staff to do the above, use that money to actually get the work done. Highways advised that they feel the soak away is blocked hence the drain on the road outside my house blocking and also said chances are the drain collapsed when the last lot of jetting took place in 2024 which i have already sent you photos of that to show the sludge inside that drain when it was jetted, was just jetted to my house, over my driveway, front door and into my house, i reported this, you did nothing. I know matters are dealt with on a priority basis, yet you feel its acceptable that my property is deteriorating internally & you do nothing
