Growing out of the pavement and in on the public footpath

This dangerous plant is growing out of the pavement - it burns skin if touched or brushed up against in shorts etc- by not taking responsibility, I assume the Cheshire East are taking responsibility. Pedestrians are injured due to negligence. I will put notices in the area to inform the public that it's Cheshire East's responsibility

Thank you for your enquiry. Following a review on cost and effectiveness of weed spraying, we are not routinely spraying weeds on the highway. Instead, we review requests for treatment of weeds in channels, at the top of kerbs, in footways / alleyways (bordering a wall or fence), footpaths and link paths. As your request does not meet the criteria, no further action will be taken at this time.
We will continue to ensure the location is safe through our routine safety inspections which are conducted in line with our Code of Practice. More information is available on the following link:
