The traffic light which allows traffic out of Woodland Avenue onto Rood Hill.

Reported via desktop in the Conditions of Signs category anonymously at 09:31, Tuesday 11 March 2025

Sent to Cheshire East Council less than a minute later. Council ref: 7259045.

We previously reported that this light was often failing to turn green and let cars out of Woodland Avenue (Council ref: 7122234), and this was then closed as 'fixed', but I'm afraid it's still giving problems! One thing that might help diagnose it: the problem seems to be significantly worse at night. It's as though the sensor doesn't notice waiting cars, and we often need to reverse and re-approach the light, sometimes more than once, to get it to turn green. I would repeat my previous suggestion that the sensor be switched out and the light just turn green for a few seconds on every cycle.
