Manhole on the verge at the approach to Noon sun corner from Pedley House Lane

Reported via desktop in the Flooding category anonymously at 10:54, Thursday 13 February 2025

Sent to Cheshire East Council less than a minute later. Council ref: 7128606.

There is a blockage around/near the manhole which means that water cannot move and it backs up bubbling out of the grids outside of 2-4-6-8 Pedley House Lane. This was investigated approx 3yrs ago by Lee Glover due to extensive flooding again. There were cameras sent down and tree roots and collapse were found and we were told that new manholes and repairs were required but no one ever came to do the work which means that whenever there is heavy rainfall, we have to pump around the clock, literally sitting up all night

  • The investigation we have done so far has identified that we need to carry out more work to either better understand or resolve this problem. We have added this location to our drainage improvement programme list. Unfortunately, we are unable to provide you with a timescale of works as they will be prioritised based on risk and available budget. Changes might need to be made if we need to prioritise other works due to emergencies or weather events.
