Burleyhurst Lane on carriageway heading towards Newton Hall Lane just before Burleyhurst Cottage.
Reported via mobile in the Pothole category anonymously at 16:02, Friday 31 January 2025
Sent to Cheshire East Council less than a minute later. Council ref: 7065857.
I hit this large (both wide & extremely deep) pothole on Tuesday evening (28/01/25) at around 19:20 nearly loosing control of my car. It burst my tyre (my car was undriveable). There is damage to the wheel and possible damage to the suspension/steering. As it happens a member of Highways team was in the area attending the report of a pothole along that stretch due to loose tarmac across the carriageway who put up cones/signs around the pothole. This stretch of narrow road is well used and is know by highways for its dangerous potholes which are often on or near bends. Patching rather than re-laying the road is continuously causing dangerous road conditions and must not be ignored by the council any longer.
