Four way junction at Sheppenhall Lane

Reported via mobile in the Carriageway category anonymously at 08:37, Wednesday 29 January 2025

Sent to Cheshire East Council less than a minute later. Council ref: 7050295.

Urgent: hazardous situation at the four-way T-junction with a 40 mph road running through it. The road surface at the junction is severely damaged each side, resembling moon craters, due to the heavy lorry traffic. Additionally, there are no line markings to indicate the junction's approach from either side, which poses a significant danger to all road users.

Despite previous reports, the only action taken has been the installation of a temporary sign on one side, which is no longer visible. This is not an adequate solution. I urge you to address these issues promptly to ensure the safety of everyone using this junction.

Picture attached showing details (note this picture is from when the road surface was ok and is used to mark the moon craters).
