Due to constant running water on Hield Lane which has been ongoing for over 18 months, the carriage way is gradually narrowing and the tarmac has washed away, uncovering the MOT base as pictured. Cars are consequently being pushed away from the edge of the carriageway and onto the verge of 1 Hield House Cottages when passing one another. The edge of the carriageway needs repair; a deep ledge has developed which can cause significant damages to tyres and alloys and a hazard in general to vehicles.
