On approaching Aston Village Left Hand Land Signage

Reported via desktop in the Conditions of Signs category anonymously at 21:38, Sun 29 December 2024

Sent to Cheshire East Council less than a minute later. Council ref: 6908707.

Writing to urgently bring to your attention a significant road safety issue on the approach to Aston Village. For many months, the first sign intended to warn motorists to slow down has been positioned parallel to the road, making it invisible to approaching drivers. The attached picture illustrates the sign in question.

Given the very dangerous junctions in Aston, it is crucial that all signage on the approach to the village is correctly positioned and clearly visible to alert motorists. The current misalignment of the sign fails to provide any safety benefits for road users and does not effectively advise motorists to reduce their speed.

To ensure the safety of all road users, I kindly request that the council take immediate action to:

Reposition the Misaligned Sign: Correctly position the sign so that it is visible to approaching motorists. Inspect and Verify Other Signage: Conduct a thorough inspection of all road signs on the approach to Aston Village to ensure they are correctly positioned and visible.

Addressing this issue promptly will greatly enhance road safety and prevent potential accidents. Thank you for your immediate attention to this matter.
