Sent to Cheshire East Council less than a minute later. Council ref: 6908680.
Urgently bring to your attention a significant road safety issue on Whitchurch Road. There is a section of the road, approximately 4 meters long, near the central carriageway line that is beginning to erode. This erosion has created a channel about a foot wide, directly on the driving line.
This situation is becoming increasingly dangerous, as the channel poses a serious risk to vehicles. Drivers may not see the erosion in time to avoid it, leading to potential damage to their cars and increasing the likelihood of accidents. Given the high volume of traffic on this road, I am concerned that this section will become even more hazardous within the next week if not promptly addressed.
To prevent accidents and ensure the safety of all road users, I kindly request that the council take immediate action to:
Inspect and Assess the Erosion: Conduct a thorough inspection of the affected area to understand the extent of the erosion. Repair the Eroded Section: Implement necessary repairs to restore the road surface and eliminate the channel.
Addressing this issue swiftly will greatly enhance road safety and prevent potential damage to vehicles. Thank you for your prompt attention to this matter.
