Dry stone wall in dangerous condition

Reported in the Roads/highways category by MR R CUNNINGHAM at 17:11, Fri 24 July 2015

Sent to Cheshire East Council 3 minutes later. Council ref: 666841.

The dry stone wall dividing the road from the houses is in a dangerous condition. It is precariously balanced on just a few small stones and could easily fall and injure a child/pedestrian or damage a car.

  • No action has been taken over the reported dangerous condition of the wall. There were young children climbing on the wall a few days ago. If it collapses there could be serious injuries.

  • Absolutely useless. Don't know why I bother to report anything as they never take any action. Next stop is my local councillor to try and get something done.

  • No action has been taken. The wall continues to balance precariously on a few stones. Ridiculous.

  • Two contractors appeared around the end of the first week in November and have repaired the dry stone wall. They have done a great job and the wall is not only safe but looks much better.
