Sent to Cheshire East Council 1 minute later. Council ref: 6561057.
Speed Limit is way in excess of the safe speed required when accessing the road. To go from a 40MPH zone into a National Speed Limit given the volume of housing, the number of people who walk, cycle, ride horses up and down the lane, and the poor quality of road (sunken manhole that been badly addressed part way down and the dip just to the east of the Nature Reserve), there is a danger to both home owners, pedestrians and drivers. Throw in darkness as the winter fast approaches, poor street lighting, no footpaths, people taking shortcuts and its just a matter of time before you're dealing with something far more serious than changing the number on a couple of signs. 40MPH is more than plenty for these roads (not that many people abide by it on Holmes Chapel Road in a morning).
