The whole length of Brereton Heath Lane and Davenport Lane
Reported via mobile in the Carriageway category anonymously at 11:19, Sat 5 October 2024
Sent to Cheshire East Council less than a minute later. Council ref: 6554346.
Excessive speed of vehicles along a lane most of which has no footway, is only just wide enough for two cars to slowly pass each other.
The lane is in frequent use by dog walkers and horse riders, and vehicles parking illegally on the verges behind double yellow lines only add to the problem of people and dogs being too close to vehicles being driven too fast for the conditions.
All of the above applies equally to the adjoining Davenport Lane on which is the entrance to Brereton Heath Wildlife Park.
Both these lanes are desperate for a 30 mph speed limit, before there is a bad accident.
