A500 approaching RB3, Shavington junction.

Reported via iOS in the Noise or Vibration category by Scott Norrie at 12:29, Tuesday 1 October 2024

Sent to Cheshire East Council less than a minute later. Council ref: 6537731.

The issues is with traffic calming / rumble strips on both approaches to this RB3 junction.

These traffic calming measures, while I agree some sort is needed, are the wrong type for this area.

They are to high and aggressive causing lots of late and over night noise where I live.

I live on Needhams Grange, Shavington and some these have been installed the noise a night form some heavy trucks approach the roundabout can only be described as somebody beating a drum.

We are getting woken up multiple times nightly because of this constant thumping that gets faster as a truck nears the RB3 roundabout.

These rumble strips need to be reconsidered or reduced in height as this noise cannot go on.
