Between whitehurst way and homestead drive

Reported via desktop in the Noise or Vibration category anonymously at 10:47, Wednesday 11 September 2024

Sent to Cheshire East Council less than a minute later. Council ref: 6460553.

There is a change in the road surface, with a sag in one surface. HGVs passing this at the posted 40mph speed limit cause substantial vibration inside neighbouring properties, more noticeably at night when speeds tend to be higher.

Given the surrounding features, such as the drainage ditch neighbouring the road this could be an indication of underlying issues, and is disruptive to residents.

This issue has been present for several years, but seems to be worse recently.

  • Thank you for contacting Cheshire East Highways. We have logged your enquiry and passed it to a member of our team.

Our teams are working hard to manage and respond to reports from members of the public.

We are experiencing a high volume of enquiries and we will be prioritising those issues that present most risk to the travelling public. While we normally aim to provide you with a response within 20 working days, response times for all other reported issues may take longer than usual.

    Thank you for your patience.
