Re : Original case number 4352173 After a considerable time of procrastination by CEC Highways during 2023 they finally acknowledged the large subsided hole in the highway was their responsibility and not United Utilities. The subsided hole was to be fixed by CEC Highways during 2023. To date no remedial repairs has been done, this hole is now a big hazard and due to the time lapse in repairs it has got deeper and wider, thus causing vehicles to swerve to the wrong side of the highway in order to avoid damaging their vehicles. Furthermore this hole is causing untold damage to vehicle suspensions/ components. I initially reported this issue on the 11/4/23 early 2024 I was advised no monies were available as Cheshire East Highways had overspent/exhausted their budget for 2023 and no funds would be available until April 2024. We are now into August 2024, therefore could you please expedite repairs to this hole without any further excuses or delays.
