Sandbach Road on Junction with Ullswater Road, Congleton

Reported via desktop in the Hedge/Tree Maintenance category anonymously at 15:23, Friday 16 August 2024

Sent to Cheshire East Council 1 minute later. Council ref: 6365138.

The trees and Hedges have spread over the pavement , narrowing the path considerably. This is a danger to Pedestrians which include Quinta Primary School pupils, parents and Congleton High sShool Pupils. The hedge also blocks car driver's view turning right out of Ullswater Road of traffic coming from Congleton Town Centre. The Hedge is not in No 1's land. The owner has cut back the grass verge to reveal all the tarmac pavement. The grass and weeds need to be cut back on the rest of the pavement up to the next House and the hedge/tree growth needs to be trimmed well back so it does not obstruct the full width of the pavement. This has previously been cut back but the tarmac pavement has not been cleared of soil and weeds to increase its width. Residents of Heather Brae also use wheel Chairs to pass along the pavement and anyone with a pushchair has gret difficulty passing the narrow path.
