Stanneylands Road right outside the Stanneylands Hotel

Reported via mobile in the Carriageway category anonymously at 18:34, Saturday 3 August 2024

Sent to Cheshire East Council less than a minute later. Council ref: 6312221.

The small section of Stanneylands Road between the Stanneylands Hotel to the roundabout leading to Styal has been closed since 31st July without prior notice. There is no indication about any works on the Cheshire East council website - the only works down on the website at the moment are the temporary traffic lights between Stanneylands Road, Lacey Green and Dean Row road. There is no indication on how long this section of the road will be closed for and is causing a lot of disruption to commuters having to go all the way round Styal Road to get to the other side of the road. No signs at the top of Station Road Styal either to say that Stanneylands Road is closed, so motorists are driving all the way down Station Road only to find the closed road and having to drive all the way back up.
