Fowle Brook
Reported via desktop in the Flooding category anonymously at 12:49, Friday 2 August 2024
Sent to Cheshire East Council less than a minute later. Council ref: 6307855.
Residents at two properties in Repton Drive have diverted and partially blocked the stream (Fowle Brook) which flows at the rear of their gardens. This is preventing the water from flowing normally, causing the water to become stagnant and creating a flooding issue for properties further upstream. They have diverted the steam onto land owned by Cheshire County Council causing it run very close to the playground of The Dingle Primary School.

Thank you for contacting Cheshire East Highways. We have logged your enquiry and passed it to a member of our team.
Our teams are working hard to manage and respond to reports from members of the public.
We are experiencing a high volume of enquiries and we will be prioritising those issues that present most risk to the travelling public. While we normally aim to provide you with a response within 20 working days, response times for all other reported issues may take longer than usual.
Thank you for your patience.

We deal with defects based on the level of immediate risk. We have assessed the issue and it does not present an immediate risk to highway users at this time. As the problem you have reported is not causing an immediate safety issue we will now look at the best long- term approach for this location. We keep all roads and highway assets safe through our routine inspections. If anything is identified as a risk during a future inspection, we will take action to deal with it as appropriate.
State changed to: No further action
