Culvert under the Alford Crescent still blocked

Reported via desktop in the Gully/Drainage category anonymously at 11:12, Saturday 29 June 2024

Sent to Cheshire East Council less than a minute later. Council ref: 6169874.

The culvert under the road leading onto Alford place is still blocked. Last week 1 day of moderate rain caused flooding over the road and into the gardens on Wilton Crescent and Alford Place. The stream at the back of Wilton Crescent has been cleared by the owners, but the water is still backed up and the flooding came again last week.

This problem has been reportedly several time and the culvert has not been unblocked, despite it being reported that it has been.

This would be a sensible time of year to unblock the culvert while the water levels are low. The problem gets worse each year so please do not simply wait until it rains again and you get another series of complaints.
