Cut grass in gutters

Reported via mobile in the Grass Cutting category by Steve James at 10:00, Saturday 8 June 2024

Sent to Cheshire East Council less than a minute later. Council ref: 6080536.

Hi Just a quick question.

I can see that the council has a rewildimg plan regarding grass verges and green spaces i.e infrequent cutting.

My concern is that when the long unkempt grass is cut it is left blocking gutters and Inturn looks a mess, causes drainage issues and will grow into the tarmac which will affect stability hence causing more damage to our already unsuitable and dangerous state of our roads.

So my question is Will the plentiful excess of wild grass be swept up. Otherwise this Will cost a lot more in the future to us the already heavily financially squeezed public.

Perhaps we could get rid of a few councillors and ther expenses and put this money onto the community.

Thanks for your time
