A50 Liverpool Road West Church Lawton opposite Lawton Hall Farm and Lawton Manor Nursing Home.
Reported via mobile in the Barriers category by Kate Lawton at 13:05, Thursday 6 June 2024
Sent to Cheshire East Council less than a minute later. Council ref: 6072417.
The pavements on this part of the A50, especially on the south side running from Red Bull lights up to The Rectory opposite Church Lane is almost inaccessible due to overgrowth of grass and weeds. The area around the bus stop (opposite Lawton Manor) is severely restricted for bus users travelling west (towards Alsager). The pavement is so overgrown that it is difficult to walk along even single file and is completely inaccessible to wheelchair users or pushchairs. This is also a severe hazard for people with limited vision or mobility. Our adult son has a learning disability and is a regular bus user heading towards Alsager from the bus stop opposite Lawton Manor Nursing home and has only a very small space to stand waiting for the bus whilst traffic whizzes past, quite often, in excess of the 40mph speed limit. It is now a serious problem for pedestrians and requires maintenance as soon as possible as it is now dangerous and potentially life threatening to pedestrians and a barrier to others.
