From Blackden lane/Bomish lane junction up to the entrance to Broom Croft

Reported via desktop in the Flooding category anonymously at 16:19, Wednesday 29 May 2024

Sent to Cheshire East Council less than a minute later. Council ref: 6035611.

All drains are blocked with mud and silt. This causes the road to flood presenting a hazard to road users and moor vehicles particularly on the bend. The wash from vehicles passing through at speed is washing more mud and silty sand into the road from the banks, further blocking the drains. This is also presenting a long term risk to the hedging along this stretch as the subsoil is being washed away. ( Ref: The Hedgerows Regulations 1997)
