Reported via mobile in the Slurry or Mud on the Highway category anonymously at 20:49, Thursday 23 May 2024

Sent to Cheshire East Council less than a minute later. Council ref: 6013662.

I live in congleton and have done for the last six years on the stretch of Manchester road on the jones homes estate postcode is CW122GT. We are dog owners so we walk around the area on a regular daily basis and notice the neglected areas of our lovely new estate-one being the roads along the kerb which are growing greenery and full of debris & have never been maintained properly, also everytime it rains the grids overflow and floods the road on several areas along the same road-so if your walking there you get soaked when a car drives past you or if your driving its flooded over half the road which isnt acceptable either: We are council tax paying citizens and we pay a high band of tax annually which is really unsatisfactory. This is an ongoing issue & has been reported previously in March 2024 & the issues remain-why is this when we all pay our taxes-the local council need to address the local residents requests asap Thankyou

  • Thank you for contacting Cheshire East Highways. We have logged your enquiry and passed it to a member of our team.

Our teams are working hard to manage and respond to reports from members of the public.

We are experiencing a high volume of enquiries and we will be prioritising those issues that present most risk to the travelling public. While we normally aim to provide you with a response within 20 working days, response times for all other reported issues may take longer than usual.

    Thank you for your patience.

  • We deal with gullies based on the level of immediate risk. We have assessed this location and it is not considered to present an immediate danger to highway users at this time. We are due to empty the gullies here as part of our routine programme in the next 12 weeks. This means we will not attend before the scheduled visit unless there is an immediate threat to life or the inside of property. You can find out the scheduled visit date by visiting our website: https://cheshireeast-gully.report-it.uk/ public/
