Grid outside 70/72
Reported via mobile in the Flooding category anonymously at 18:17, Thursday 23 May 2024
Sent to Cheshire East Council less than a minute later. Council ref: 5992632.
Drop curb now installed at location of grid. The grid is still full of debris and causing flooding in bad weather. This now can spill onto the drop curb area.
This grid has caused property to flood previously due to blockages underneath. An additional grid was installed in no70 front garden to assist this as 3-4 cellars previously were affected.

Thank you for contacting Cheshire East Highways. We have logged your enquiry and passed it to a member of our team.
Our teams are working hard to manage and respond to reports from members of the public.
We are experiencing a high volume of enquiries and we will be prioritising those issues that present most risk to the travelling public. While we normally aim to provide you with a response within 20 working days, response times for all other reported issues may take longer than usual.
Thank you for your patience.

We deal with gullies based on the level of immediate risk. We have assessed this location and it is not considered to present an immediate danger to highway users at this time. We are due to empty the gullies here as part of our routine programme in the next 12 weeks. This means we will not attend before the scheduled visit unless there is an immediate threat to life or the inside of property. You can find out the scheduled visit date by visiting our website: https://cheshireeast-gully.report-it.uk/ public/
