At the change of speed limit sign, on the way from Alsager to Audley

Reported via desktop in the Pothole category anonymously at 18:47, Saturday 13 April 2024

Sent to Cheshire East Council less than a minute later. Council ref: 5848289.

Road surface is disintegrating on the outside. There’s now a deep pothole surrounded by crumbling/cracking. If you hit it, the wheel really clunks into it, hard. It’s very difficult to avoid as you have to swerve towards the centre of the road - but it’s a narrow, busy road. Complicated by that fact it’s just around a corner, so there’s little visibility until you’re actually at the problem. I’ve now had 3 near misses from people swerving to avoid it, coming onto the wrong side of the road!
