Between the bungalow and Newcastle Road
Reported via desktop in the Pothole category by Denise Maxfield at 16:50, Tuesday 9 April 2024
Sent to Cheshire East Council less than a minute later. Council ref: 5830577.
My husband was involved in an accident down this lane due to a lady driving on the opposite side of the road to avoid a huge pothole. A young girl in front of my husband had to swerve to avoid her so my husband did the same then the young girl slammed her breaks on or she would have gone down another huge pothole. Two of the wheels of my husbands vehicle were on the muddy grass verge so when he slammed on his breaks it had no traction and skidded into the back of the young ladies car. Air bags were deployed and my husbands vehicle has been written off. I cannot take a picture of the potholes as they are submerged in water (even more dangerous!!) People are going to start dying because of the state of our roads!! This isn't a personal attack on whoever reads this complaint at all because I know you are not ultimately responsible for the Councils budget and how it is spent but this is getting very serious and I am worried for all motorists especially our grown up children.
