Watch Lane, Moston, CW11 3PD between 11 Watch Lane and Watch Lane Cottage

Reported via desktop in the Pothole category by RICHARD BOWER-LOWE at 18:16, Sun 7 April 2024

Sent to Cheshire East Council less than a minute later. Council ref: 5820244.

This section of road is a dreadful. A serious danger to both vehicles and pedestrians (no footpath). It's almost continuously flooded with the multiple deep potholes hidden by the water resulting in considerable potential for both damage and injury even without the water! You will be well aware of previous reports relative to this stretch of road the most recent being last month, as a consequence of which you simply poured a mound of planings on part of the carriageway. Unsurprisingly within literally hours, vehicles coupled with water had eroded them away once more leaving deep potholes sufficient to cause cars to substantively bounce when they hit them. This simply isn't good enough. The road needs a proper hard edged kerb creating coupled with the road surface properly tarmacing such that it won't continually fall away and disappear into the adjacent ditch. This problem won't go away and needs to be addressed once and for all rather than continuing with the "make do" approach that clearly seems to be the ongoing policy at present.
