Drop crossing at footway intersection with lodge road from Sandbach Road north

Reported via mobile in the Pothole category by Simon Butcher at 22:21, Wed 20 March 2024

Sent to Cheshire East Council less than a minute later. Council ref: 5745585.

I witnessed a lady fall head over heels onto the carriageway when the front wheel of her tricycle walking aid got stuck in the pothole in the channel of the carriageway. She was trying to cross the road but the drop crossing top of kerb to carriageway regulation depth (25mm) was excessive due to a crater in the surfacing. The depth must have been at least 40mm. Luckily I was on hand to help the lady back on to her feet and help her to cross once she had rested.
