From No 41 Elton Lane all the way along the Lane towards bypass

Reported via mobile in the Flooding category anonymously at 17:45, Saturday 16 March 2024

Sent to Cheshire East Council less than a minute later. Council ref: 5723543.

The current drainage issue on Elton Lane is causing significant inconvenience and health concerns for residents, particularly at No. 41. The septic tank at this property is overflowing due to blocked drains along Elton Lane, which falls under the responsibility of the Council for maintenance. Despite reporting the problem to the Council in December, there has been no definitive action taken to address it.

Furthermore, the drainage gullies along the lane, starting from outside No. 51 and leading towards the bypass, are obstructed by vegetation, exacerbating the situation. Additionally, the main drain responsible for carrying wastewater from No. 35 Elton Lane onwards to the soak away in the adjacent field has not been cleared for several years. This neglect may have led to damage in the drain, necessitating immediate replacement to alleviate the issue effectively.
