Roundabout to smithy lane and flowers lane
Reported via mobile in the Pothole category anonymously at 16:42, Sunday 25 February 2024
Sent to Cheshire East Council less than a minute later. Council ref: 5629043.
Huge pothole but now looks like sinkhole double yellow that used to be here are no longer as the hole has got that big and yet again still not delt with by Cheshire east council. Even though they been out to put signs out to close roads for unnecessary roadworks in my opinion. Extremely dangerous to cyclists and motorists. Especially with the very poor lighting that is on Smithy Lane. Been getting bigger for the past few months with all the wagons going down there and churning up the road it’s dangerous and always full of water.
ACCIDENT WAITING TO HAPPEN!!!!!

We deal with defects based on the level of immediate risk. We have assessed the issue and it does not present an immediate risk to highway users at this time. As the problem you have reported is not causing an immediate safety issue we will now look at the best long- term approach for this location. We keep all roads and highway assets safe through our routine inspections. If anything is identified as a risk during a future inspection, we will take action to deal with it as appropriate.
State changed to: No further action
