Outside No 12 Queensway and across the road

Reported via desktop in the Pothole category anonymously at 14:44, Sat 24 February 2024

Sent to Cheshire East Council less than a minute later. Council ref: 5625083.

This is a huge pothole/s that have been repeatedly filled in to a poor standard, and so whatever is used to fill them in comes out of the hole and big stones spread across the road.

Not only is this pothole a risk to cars tires and suspension (You cannot see how deep it is when it has rained as it gets filled with water) but the big stones are hitting the body work of the car which will result in a claim against the council for paint repair (I live on this road and am sick of them hitting my car).

Also, it's like a tidal wave if a car comes past and hits it whilst you happen to walk past, and it soaks you if you can't jump out the way quick enough - never mind the stones hitting you.

There is also a pothole across the road that has a similar issue - and another that has started to fall apart again.

  • Thank you for contacting Cheshire East Highways. We have logged your enquiry and passed it to a member of our team.

Our teams are working hard to manage and respond to reports from members of the public.

We are experiencing a high volume of enquiries and we will be prioritising those issues that present most risk to the travelling public. While we normally aim to provide you with a response within 20 working days, response times for all other reported issues may take longer than usual.
