Insufficient drainage and roadway flooding

Reported via Android in the Carriageway category by Thomas McCallister at 10:06, Friday 23 February 2024

Sent to Cheshire East Council less than a minute later. Council ref: 5619189.

This has been a persistent problem along this stretch of road and has only become worse with the nearby construction traffic dropping mud onto the carriageway. On Bradfield Road, between the crossing by Heron Foods and the Flowers Jane Roundabout, there are a multitude of blocked drains on the side with a pavement. There's loads of areas that are almost always flooded which also impacts the paths adjacent to the road. Cars have to go out of their way to avoid splashing in pedestrians. There are sections that are completely flooded for pedestrians which means people have to walk through mud to reach the hospital. Something must be done to increase the effectiveness of the dressings and stop the constant water buildup here.
