Blocked gullies between Border hall and Oak cottages, Audley rd Alsaget

Reported via mobile in the Flooding category anonymously at 20:12, Sun 18 February 2024

Sent to Cheshire East Council less than a minute later. Council ref: 5593808.

Anumber of gullies are blocked resulting in the road flooding and flood water running into the drive of Oaklands. This flood water leaves behind silt and rubbish meaning the gravel chippings have to be excavated, carted away and replaced at a cost of several hundred pounds on each occasion. This problem he's been reported several times over recent years, each time the gully empting crew empty some but not all of the gullies as most are jammed and can't be lifted. To ease the problem at the end of last year a trench was been dug in the road verge to drain water off the carriageway into an adjoining field. However, we now need this field to dry up for cultivation so the trench will be backfilled. I cannot reasonably be expected to continue removing mud from my driveway at Oaklands and replacing gravel at my expense. Therefore I ask that someone takes ownership the problem and replace all the jammed gully tops and clear the gullies allowing the water to drain away without issue.
