Outside 13 Bedford Grove Alsager

Reported via mobile in the Hedge/Tree Maintenance category anonymously at 12:26, Sunday 18 February 2024

Sent to Cheshire East Council less than a minute later. Council ref: 5593642.

A tree was removed 2 years ago and the stump remains in place. Several people have commented that they have almost banged their car doors ion it or driven into it ( I appreciate cars should not bump up the pavement but people do to keep the highway clear.) I've seen kids on bikes avoiding it another last minute. There are now reflectors on it as it can not be seen at all in the dark by motorists or pedestrians. I was told by a member of the highways team who was filling potholes, that its common practice to leave the stump. ( There is one in Pikemere Road) I do not understand why it was not removed. If that s the case so ne it. I am showever submitting this email as I am sure somebody will at some point be contacting you with a some form of claim. Thanks Shaun
