Road Drains outside drive of #7 Heybridge Lane
Reported via mobile in the Gully/Drainage category anonymously at 12:38, Friday 16 February 2024
Sent to Cheshire East Council less than a minute later. Council ref: 5586376.
Please see previous incidents and reports. This drainage problem just gets worse and worse and has now been going on for 3 months. The flood over the main road stays there for several days after rain. The gullies are seriously blocked and/or damaged. This is leading to waves of road water being continually propelled by passing cars over our grass, hedges and gates. This goes on for several days at a time and is soaking areas of our garden, which may never recover. We are also unable to access our drive on foot without walking over these soaking areas of lawn. This problem remains there well after all the other road floods are gone in the remainder of Prestbury. Please do something. To remind you, this is a perennial problem occurring every 3 years for the last 20 years. Your technicians have reported that there is a problem with the drains, not simply a blocked gully.
