Giantswood Ln, just after junction with Mill Lane heading towards Congleton
Reported via desktop in the Flooding category anonymously at 15:41, Thu 8 February 2024
Sent to Cheshire East Council less than a minute later. Council ref: 5549686.
This part of the lane is flooded again. It's the second time in the last few months and is preventing pedestrians and cyclists getting through. This seems to be caused by the amount of mud being dragged out of the adjoining field by tractors. The tractors and wheels are much bigger now and drag a lot more mud out onto the lanes in their treads. I really do think that the farmers should be responsible for preventing or clearing up the mud they deposit on the road to prevent this from happening. It's a real nuisance for pedestrian like myself. It's not just here, it keeps happing in many places around Congleton. I'm sure if I deposited so much mud on the road outside my house and blocked up all the grids the council would soon be knocking on my door.
