42 Philip Taylor Drive

Reported via mobile in the Column Damaged category anonymously at 20:42, Tuesday 23 January 2024

Sent to Cheshire East Council less than a minute later. Council ref: 5482571.

Over a month ago, a car collision damaged the lamppost at the corner of the road, resulting in it being cut to one-third of its height. A tape was placed around the remaining portion, but since then, it hasn't been replaced, plunging the road into complete darkness at night. This poses a significant safety risk, especially given the high pedestrian traffic and parked cars on the side. The absence of adequate lighting makes it challenging for drivers approaching from the opposite side to react promptly, increasing the risk of collisions. Additionally, recent strong winds have shifted the lamppost's base, adding further concern for pedestrians and nearby residents. Urgent replacement is strongly recommended to prevent worsening conditions and potential serious incidents.
