Oak Lane just by Higher Lane

Reported via desktop in the Gully/Drainage category anonymously at 09:56, Wednesday 3 January 2024

Sent to Cheshire East Council 18 minutes later. Council ref: 5384993.

The only operational drain in the area is blocked. The other drain nearby is useless as it does not catch any water. Water is cascading over the road, and vehicles are driving at speed. There is far less than two vehicle's width here. There are properties without foundations and passing vehicles are sending waves of water at the dwellings. If, as forecast, freezing conditions occur this location will become incredibly dangerous. Flooding in this location is a perpetual problem, and very little has been done to resolve the issue. Water comes from Redway all the way down to where it narrows on Oak Lane. There are no operational drains in this entire stretch. Please, please consider making this a priority for clearance. Thank you
