Rear garden of 2, Church Lane, Henbury
Reported via desktop in the Flooding category anonymously at 10:45, Sat 9 December 2023
Sent to Cheshire East Council less than a minute later. Council ref: 5299028.
I have previously reported flooding on Church Lane, the electricity sub-station next to my house and flooding in my garden…. Ref. 517717. Since then and for approx. 2 months now my garden has remained flooded and last weekend it froze over. I’ve included two additional photos of how the garden looked earlier this year when I dug it out and planted it up. The ground is now so saturated that it could well remain under water for most of the winter. There is a small circular terrace that is also under the water. The photo of the current flood level is on Sat 9th December. The flooding is due to the blocked grid / drain outside my home. I believe that works to clear it are possibly planned for before Christmas. I have had no contact about my garden and how any damage which will be revealed when the water eventually subsides will then be corrected. It appears so far that any repairs will be to the highway only and I want it recording that I want my property repairing too.
