Persistent flooding on pedestrian crossing

Reported via mobile in the Flooding category anonymously at 11:13, Mon 27 November 2023

Sent to Cheshire East Council less than a minute later. Council ref: 5256445.

Large flood across most of the carriageway and footpath on a pedestrian crossing. Water is rising with ongoing rain. This is an reoccurring problem which was reported to highways only 2 weeks ago by our local councillor. Cars are now swerving across the carriageway to try and avoid the deepest parts. This footpath and crossing is the main route home for children from Tytherington school heading into Macclesfield and they can't use the footpath or crossing when it's flooded. Please could you get this seen to URGENTLY?

Updates

  • Thank you for contacting Cheshire East Highways. We have logged your enquiry and passed it to a member of our team.

Our teams are working hard to manage and respond to reports from members of the public.

We are experiencing a high volume of enquiries and we will be prioritising those issues that present most risk to the travelling public. While we normally aim to provide you with a response within 20 working days, response times for all other reported issues may take longer than usual.

    Thank you for your patience.
