A few weeks ago, the grid/drain opposite Cliff Farm was partially working. It was collecting most of the overflow water from the farm pond, channeling it under the road and into the original roadside ditch. The flow was mostly held within this ditch (despite it being clogged with silt and vegetation further down) and the water was causing little damage to the carriageway/tarmac. More recently, the pond overflow has eroded a new channel around the farm grid and the water is simply bypassing it. This flow (now on the wrong side) is already opening up the road surface lower down and destroying the repairs of earlier this year. Only a matter of time before the huge pots holes are back... both dangerous and an enormous waste of tax payers money. The surface around the grid at Cliff Farm needs emergency repairs... repaired so that 100% of the pond overflow is directed into the drain.
