A dozen potholes along all of cow lane
There are about a dozen potholes of about 70cm in diameter and 30cm deep at the bottom of cow lane. Liability to Path Users" and "Surfaces of Public Rights of Way" guidance States that as cow lane is a public right of way and in the interest of pedestrians safety the potholes should be repaired with a more robust material- being resurfaced as the previous repair have not lasted. it is clear that the repairs carried out are sub-standard. there is a real health and safety risk as cars have to swerve to avoid potholes - going into the path of pedestrians. the road is also used by cyclists, school children and other walkers from summerfields estate - and there is a real risk that someone will have an accident. i have previously reported the potholes in cow lane and escalated to the local councillor - as the conditions are very bad. the potholes have been there for over 6 months - they are not getting much much worse - and will soon not be passable for refuse collection and other council services.
