At main pedestrian crossing outside Toft Road doctors surgery and also on the corner on the Town Council Office side of the road.

Reported via mobile in the Flooding category by Peter Downes at 17:31, Wed 15 November 2023

Sent to Cheshire East Council less than a minute later. Council ref: 5216521.

Ongoing flooding of road for 30m directly at the main pedestrian crossing where everyone is forced to use due to the footpath by the cinema having been closed for over 6 months and also flooding on the corner of Toft road and Stanley Road outside the town council offices. I reported this problem in August (ref 4929761) and in previous years but still no permanent solution to this ongoing and unacceptable situation has been implemented. The road surface has broken up due to the continuous flooding. A disabled neighbour of mine who uses a frame to walk is afraid of going to Booths due to this flooding and even fit people have to run the gauntlet to avoid getting drenched in filthy water. I require confirmation that these two areas of flooding will be dealt with urgently with a permanent solution being implemented not a temporary fix. As a professional civil engineering I would be held to account if the site roads that I looked after were in a similar condition and state of repair, I trust that those responsible within Cheshire Highways will also be held to account. If satisfactory action is not taken within the next few weeks I shall be escalating this matter both with Cheshire East and Esther McVey.
