Talbarn, Long Lane, CW6 9TB and further down towards Yew Tree pub
Reported via desktop in the Flooding category anonymously at 10:01, Tue 7 November 2023
Sent to Cheshire East Council less than a minute later. Council ref: 5183293.
The road outside our house continues to flood after prolonged rain and the drains are unable to cope. Over 2 weeks ago this happed again and the flood water is still present. The Council tried to clear the drain but couldn't locate the grid - I also told that the drains would be jetted and then cameras inserted to find the root of the problem, but this has not yet happened. This has been a problem for years and continues to flood our driveway, garage and property right up to the front door, causing great distress and damage to property.

We have carried out an initial assessment of the problem and we need more time to decide our next steps. Drainage issues can be complex and time consuming-matters and at this stage we are unable to give you any indication on timescale. We will update your enquiry once we have more information. In the meantime, we will keep the area safe through routine inspections. If you believe the location has become unsafe and is presenting an immediate danger, please call 0300 123 5020 or out of hours on 0300 123 5025. If you would like to know more about how we manage gullies and drains, you can find information here: https://www.cheshireeast.gov.uk/ highways_and_roads/ road-maintenance/ gullies-and-drains.aspx
