Lampost at junction of Westlands and footpath near Marlfields School
Reported via desktop in the Flickering Light category anonymously at 17:15, Sun 5 November 2023
Sent to Cheshire East Council less than a minute later. Council ref: 5176915.
I chose flickering light but the problem isn't the bulb but the tree next to the lampost with leaves and branches that stop the light reaching the ground.
I reported it before and I can see you have trimmed off the branches that were actually touching the lamp. However there are many leafy branches between the lamp and the ground that obscure the light. The illumination of the ground is flickery if windy, or blocked if still.
Please trim the tree growth between the lamp and the ground so the light can do its job of illuminating the change between a road and path, and show the bollards clearly.
Currently it's still a hazard.
Thank you for contacting Cheshire East Highways. We have logged your enquiry and passed it to a member of our team.
Our teams are working hard to manage and respond to reports from members of the public.
We are experiencing a high volume of enquiries and we will be prioritising those issues that present most risk to the travelling public. While we normally aim to provide you with a response within 20 working days, response times for all other reported issues may take longer than usual.
Thank you for your patience.
