Manor Park North between Bellingham Drive and the pedestrian entrance of Manor Park North

Reported via desktop in the Gully/Drainage category anonymously at 09:10, Tue 31 October 2023

Sent to Cheshire East Council less than a minute later. Council ref: 5156355.

An issue with a road gully not draining properly, causing ponding in the carriageway outside a primary school, was logged previously as Ref:5112555 on Thursday 19th October.

The issue has apparently been resolved as the status has changed to 'no further action' on 26th October.

As you can see from the attached photographs the issue has not been resolved, ponding is still occurring right outside a primary school where hundreds of parents and children walk past daily. Cars drive through the ponding at speed splashing both parents and children.

Whilst i appreciate the seemingly rapid response the previous time this issue was raised, based on the level of ponding it appears that nothing has actually seemingly been done to resolve the issue.

Please can you either investigate and then resolve the issue or outline what level of investigation/survey work was undertaken on the 26th October and subsequently what remedial actions were undertaken or are planned to resolve the issue.

  • Thank you for contacting Cheshire East Highways. We have logged your enquiry and passed it to a member of our team.

Our teams are working hard to manage and respond to reports from members of the public.

We are experiencing a high volume of enquiries and we will be prioritising those issues that present most risk to the travelling public. While we normally aim to provide you with a response within 20 working days, response times for all other reported issues may take longer than usual.

    Thank you for your patience.
