CW4 8JR. The raod boardering Shear Brook

Reported via desktop in the Carriageway category anonymously at 12:18, Mon 30 October 2023

Sent to Cheshire East Council less than a minute later. Council ref: 5152930.

The ground has subsided next to the road exposing pipes and creating a further weakness which could lead to the road collapsing. The brook is a few feet below and during flooding the water will erode the bank and now water will ingress into the new subsided area by the road, The banks will probably need repair further re-enforcement to prevent collapse at the edge

  • The investigation we have done so far has identified that we need to carry out more work to either better understand or resolve this problem. We have added this location to our drainage improvement programme list. Unfortunately, we are unable to provide you with a timescale of works as they will be prioritised based on risk and available budget. Changes might need to be made if we need to prioritise other works due to emergencies or weather events.

In the meantime, if there is any immediate threat to the property or highways safety requiring an emergency response then we ask that this is telephoned through to the team on 0300 123 5020 between 8:30am – 5:00pm or outside of these hours, contact our out of hours team on 0300 123 5025.
