Betchton Lane ST7 2BD
Reported via mobile in the Flooding category anonymously at 10:39, Fri 20 October 2023
Sent to Cheshire East Council less than a minute later. Council ref: 5116460.
The road has recently been resurfaced and verges soiled up now flooded as drains blocked. No lighting in lane so when it’s dark early hours you can’t see the water til your in it, can’t tell depth, cars reversing out, reversing back around bend. This is dangerous and upsetting horses who are stabled, can’t go out in fields due to water being pushed into the fields from the lane when cars surge through! This has been reported by telephone this morning but no reference given. Heavy rain forecast all day and night so problem only going to get worse.

Thank you for contacting Cheshire East Highways. We have logged your enquiry and passed it to a member of our team.
Our teams are working hard to manage and respond to reports from members of the public.
We are experiencing a high volume of enquiries and we will be prioritising those issues that present most risk to the travelling public. While we normally aim to provide you with a response within 20 working days, response times for all other reported issues may take longer than usual.
Thank you for your patience.

We are due to empty the gullies here as part of our routine programme in the next 12 weeks. This means we will not visit before the scheduled visit unless there is an immediate threat to life or the inside of property.
