Children’s play park off Welland Road- Still left abandoned!

Reported via mobile in the Hedge/Tree Maintenance category anonymously at 14:27, Tuesday 3 October 2023

Sent to Cheshire East Council less than a minute later. Council ref: 5057265.

This children’s play park off Welland Road has been left abandoned to rot. It has been closed for approximately 10 years yet the old play equipment has never been removed. Obviously with the state which this area of land has been left in, there aren’t any plans to sort the park out with new equipment. However, I ask that the old equipment is removed so that the land can be left as natural woodland as it doesn’t seem very environmentally friendly for all of these old metal posts covered in graffiti to just be left to rot away. I worry about the safety too for animals with all the broken pieces, chipped off paint everywhere etc. I raised this issue last year and have had no communication and no sign of any of the work being carried out to make it more environmentally friendly. Please can this area of land please be cleaned up now? It is very unappealing for local residents. Thank you.
